As early as the 1990s, we acquired an extensive industrial product portfolio from the former company Jurid (now Tenneco). This included the proven sliding material Jurid 148, which we now market under the PZ 7010 for licensing reasons.
Our PZ 7010 product has proven itself successfully in rail transport for many years. Among other applications, it is used as a sliding lining in double-pocket articulated railcars. In collaboration with Kombiverkehr GmbH & Co. KG and Ferriere Cattaneo, an optimized solution was developed that contributes to a significant reduction in downtime and maintenance costs. Thanks to our company’s certification according to DIN EN 17460:2022-10 Class A2, we are able to use our sliding linings not only for repair and maintenance work but also for original equipment in rail vehicles and for component manufacturers. This involves a specially developed hot-melt bonding process for the permanent connection of the joint shoe and the sliding pad.
In addition to standardized solutions, we manufacture a wide variety of other sliding plates, pressure pieces, and custom components tailored to customer specifications. Depending on your requirements, we deliver the components ready for installation—whether for bonding, screwing, or other mounting concepts.

In a special application in intermodal transport, the previous sliding linings only inadequately met the requirements. The result: The articulated shoes of the bogies jammed and only moved again as flexibly as required for daily travel after manual intervention. After the development of an individual sliding plate by PZ Friction, the operator now saves 90% of the previous costs - while increasing the driving performance threefold.

In which delivery forms are the clutch facings available?
We supply our sliding materials in the following delivery forms:
- as flat strip material up to 2.000 mm
- in rolls up to 5.000 mm
- as rolls in special lengths
- as sheets up to 1,000 x 1,500 mm

Raw materials for our sliding linings:
Grafite
Grafites are up to almost all requirements. In your sliding coating, they serve as a lubricant. Since graphites retain their properties even at high temperatures, they are suitable for almost all sliding applications. And even under aggressive environmental conditions. Even flash rust or acid do not affect the sliding properties of graphites.
We use these graphites for your product
For the production of your sliding materials, we use only graphites that meet our strict quality requirements. When selecting our suppliers, we therefore ensure that the graphites are obtained in a traceable and responsible manner. We have deliberately chosen a network of European suppliers.
Synthetic resins
The components of your sliding linings combine via resins to form a stable unit. Precise dosing of the binders gives the material a precisely determinable strength. To be able to promise you this, we have deliberately chosen synthetic resins: they are free from natural variations and guarantee consistent properties. In addition, synthetic resins are insensitive to high temperatures and are therefore also suitable for high stresses.
Quality and origin of our resins
We obtain our resins mainly from German producers. This not only guarantees us consistently high quality, but also short supply routes and independence from the international market. Each of our resin suppliers, many of whom have been with us for many years, attaches just as much importance to quality as we do. And that's why they are also certified to at least ISO 9001.
Synthetic rubber
In addition to resin, we also use synthetic rubber to bond the raw materials. The right amount of rubber gives the brake pad exactly the flexibility and resistance needed for your application.
Sustainable origin of our synthetic rubber
As with all other raw materials, we also place great value on traceable production when it comes to rubber. By using synthetic rubber, your end product is free of raw materials from environmentally harmful monocultures. We also exclude natural variations in properties. When choosing our suppliers, we pay attention to regionality, so that we keep CO2 emissions low during delivery.
Pigments
With an individually adjusted dosage of pigments, we give your sliding surfaces the necessary finishing touch. Color adjustments are also possible with pigments. Of course, we always keep the totality in mind when dosing the pigments: Thus, like any raw material, they contribute to the overall performance of the coatings.
Where do our pigments come from?
We obtain the pigments for your sliding material mainly from German suppliers. In doing so, we do not experiment: We rely on many years of experience in our supplier network. Because in addition to the sustainable production of the pigments, environmental compatibility in the finished product is also important to us.
