Technical data sheets

PZ Friction offers over 50 premium grades and, as a German manufacturer, specializes in high-performance friction materials. We use only high-quality raw materials and work with our customers to develop and produce brake pads, clutch linings, and sliding linings—tailored to specific applications, from prototypes to mass production. Working closely with engineers, technical buyers, and industry experts, we develop the optimal premium-quality solution for each specific application. Our focus is on meeting individual requirements, ensuring reliable performance, and achieving an optimal cost-benefit ratio—especially in areas where standard products reach their limits.

As early as the 1990s, we acquired an extensive industrial product portfolio from the former company Jurid . The Jurid industrial grades, which were well-known at the time, are now marketed under our own PZ quality designations for licensing reasons. You can find the corresponding equivalents and technical translations of the former Jurid grades in our data sheets.

Do you need a specific Jurid industrial lining or are you looking for a comparable grade? Please feel free to contact us. PZ 6005

Material Description:
PZ 6005 is a metal-containing friction material bonded by resin and synthetic rubber, suitable for oil running and resistant to seawater.
Fields of application:
PZ 6005 is a versatile grade with a high coefficient of friction, e.g. for brakes, clutches and in general mechanical engineering.

Molded parts, e.g. rings

PZ 6011

Material Description:
PZ 6011 is a metal-free, resin-bonded friction material suitable for oil running and resistant to seawater.
Fields of application:
PZ 6011 is a grade that can be used in a variety of applications, such as brakes and clutches in general engineering.

PZ 7010

corresponds to Jurid 148
Material Description:
PZ 7010 is a metal-free friction material bonded with synthetic resin. PZ 7010 is notable for its low, highly stable coefficient of friction and good wear resistance. The material is also characterized by high hardness and compressive strength and is oil-resistant.
Fields of application:
PZ 7010 is suitable for sliding parts in rail vehicles, e.g., as wear protection.

PZ 7016

corresponds to Jurid 421
Material Description:
PZ 7016 is a metal-containing friction material bonded by resin and synthetic rubber. It is characterized by a high, stable friction coefficient level and high strength. The material is oil resistant to a limited extent.
Fields of application:
PZ 7016 is suitable for industrial brakes with high dynamic friction value requirements (e.g. cranes).

PZ 7021

corresponds to Jurid 533
Material Description:
PZ 7021 is a metal-free, resin-bonded friction material. It is characterized by a stable friction coefficient level and high strength, as well as good wear behavior. The material is oil resistant.
Fields of application:
PZ 7021 is suitable for industrial brakes for industrial brakes and clutches with medium friction value requirements, e.g. in agricultural machinery, wind turbines.

Material Description:
PZ 7026 is a metal-containing friction material bonded by resin and rubber. The material is characterized by stable friction behavior, low noise and good wear behavior.
Fields of application:
PZ 7026 is a drum brake lining especially for trucks and buses.

PZ 8010 is suitable for sliding plates in rail vehicles and commercial vehicles, e.g. as wear protection.

PZ 8429 is a metal-free friction material bonded by resin and synthetic rubber. It is characterized by good friction value stability and a high static friction value.
